The Season That Sustains Me: Reflections on Fall and Growth
For me, Fall has always been a season of transition. The air shifts, routines change, and I’ve often found myself shifting too. Whether it was gearing up for school in my younger years, closing out big initiatives at work, purchasing my first home, or even leaving my 9–5 to invest in my business full-time. Fall has always marked the beginning of a new chapter.
In this post, I want to reflect on the many pivots and turning points in my life that have shaped both my present and the future I’m building.
New Chapters Begin In Fall
Every September seemed to bring that push into something new: a new role, the return to school, or now, charting the next steps in my business.
I still remember the excitement of leaving home for college, car overpacked with everything I thought I’d need for my “independent life.” That road trip to Riverside felt like my freedom papers (or so I thought). What I didn’t realize was that I was about to step into the most transformative four years of my young adult life.
College became the chapter where I discovered who I am, where my resilience was tested, and where I found the foundation that eventually led me into a career—also launched in the Fall—that gave shape to my purpose.
Do you remember that moment when the wind shifted in your direction and propelled you into your next big move? For me, Fall has always been that season of turning. And it still is today.
Learning To Embrace Fall
Now, let me be honest, I am not a fan of cold weather. Wind, rain, snow, and ice can skip me entirely. Yet, it’s often in these conditions that I find myself elevated, stretched, and transformed both professionally and personally.
Over time, I’ve realized that embracing Fall has always brought evidence of growth and breakthrough. It was in the Fall that I purchased my first home, a milestone that reminded me how far faith and persistence can take you. It was also in the Fall that I made the bold decision to leave my lucrative and sustaining 9–5 and invest in my business full-time, stepping fully into the vision I had been carrying.
Something about Fall calls me to rise. 🍂 Instead of bracing for change, I’ve decided to lean into it with intention. I’m building a schedule that reflects not just the commitments I’ve grown into, but also the values shaped by past chapters of transition.
Fall has become my season of success! The time I look back in gratitude, celebrate lessons learned, and open the door to new possibilities. Maybe it’s because my birthday falls in this season, or because the new year is just around the corner. Either way, I embrace Fall with open arms, expectant of the great things yet to come.
“Fall has become my season of success! Instead of bracing for change, I’ve decided to lean into it with intention. ”
FALL Into Success
Looking back at my own transitions, three pillars have consistently helped me prosper: education, community, and self-reflection. These are the cornerstones of my Fall Into Success programs.
Education: We can’t transition without being equipped. My workshops meet women of color at every stage of their professional journey, offering practical tools to grow with confidence.
Community: No one should grow alone. My masterclasses and social communities bring women together in spaces of shared learning and support. Honestly, if it weren’t for my collegemates, I don’t know if I would have made it through college. That community stretched me and expanded my vision.
Self-Reflection: This is the piece I find most powerful. Through one-on-one sessions and journaling practices, I create space for women to explore their deepest desires and align with the changes they want to realize.
Have you experienced Fall Into Success with me in the past? 🍂 If not, this is your invitation to step into a new season of growth, with purpose, with community, and with confidence.
“What chapter are you stepping into this season?”
Fall has always sustained me. Not just in the tangible ways like earning degrees, buying my first home, or stepping into full-time entrepreneurship, but in the deeper ways that remind me to stay rooted in purpose. What once felt like milestones achieved on paper has become proof that alignment and faith bear real fruit. This is why Fall will always be my season of success. 🍂
As the leaves shift and the air cools, I’m reminded that change is not something to fear but something to embrace, with gratitude, with courage, and with expectation of what’s next. So I’ll ask you: what chapter are you stepping into this season? What shifts are calling you higher? If you’re ready to lean in with intention, I invite you to join me in this season of growth through reflection, through community, and through the work we’ll do together to make your success undeniable.
