November marks Founder’s Month for Me!
A time to reflect on the journey of building Soul Movement Success (SM Success), celebrate the progress made, and share a little more of what’s been happening behind the scenes.
As I return to my blog rhythm, I’m excited to reconnect with you and bring you along on some of the experiences, milestones, and opportunities that have been shaping this season of my journey.
There’s been a lot happening, and while I haven’t shared every moment in real time, there’s plenty worth celebrating.
Learning, Serving, and Growing Alongside Purpose-Driven People
I value the intersection of people, purpose, and organizational impact.
Recently, I had the opportunity to serve on an interim assignment with ScholarMatch Inc., where I gained valuable insight into the HR challenges nonprofit organizations are navigating today.
Working alongside talented professionals committed to a meaningful mission was a reminder of how much I value the intersection of people, purpose, and organizational impact. These experiences continue to inform how I approach my work as an HR strategist and consultant, particularly when it comes to helping organizations build stronger, more sustainable workplace cultures.
There’s more I look forward to sharing from this experience, as my time isn’t over yet, so consider this the beginning of that conversation.
A Milestone in the Procurement Journey
Building a business requires more than a vision and a great service offering.
After months of preparation, navigating requirements, and taking the necessary steps, SM Success has officially been listed as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE).
This is a meaningful milestone in my business journey. Building a business requires more than a vision and a great service offering. It also requires patience, persistence, and a willingness to navigate systems that may be unfamiliar at first.
This certification represents another step toward expanding SM Success’s opportunities to partner, contribute, and serve through public-sector and institutional procurement.
I’m proud of this progress and excited about what it may open the door to next.

Becoming the Leader I’ve Been Building Toward
Growth doesn’t always show up as a new contract or a business milestone.
Sometimes, it looks like stepping into greater responsibility, being recognized for your potential, and making room for your leadership to evolve.
My work with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) continues to expand, creating new opportunities to serve, strengthen community, and contribute to leadership development. I’m also encouraged by professional opportunities that reflect a growing recognition of my leadership potential, including being considered for a shortlist of developing executive leaders.
These moments remind me that leadership is both something we practice and something we continue to grow into. It calls for self-awareness, integrity, compassion, and a willingness to keep learning while creating space for others to thrive.
And that growth is extending beyond my traditional consulting and community work.
In 2027, I’m taking SM Success global through SOULscapes Jamaica! This extends my belief that meaningful experiences, intentional rest, and connection to place can inspire how we lead and live. Jamaica holds a special place in my entrepreneurial journey, making this next chapter especially meaningful.
What began as a vision is continuing to evolve into new ways to connect purpose, people, and possibility.
The Journey Is Still Unfolding
Sometimes, we’re so focused on what’s ahead that we forget to acknowledge how far we’ve come.
As I enter another Founder’s Month, I’m reminded that building a business and becoming the leader you envision are both ongoing journeys. There are seasons of planting, seasons of learning, seasons of stretching, and seasons when you finally get to see some of that work take shape.
I’m learning to appreciate each of them.
Over the coming weeks, I look forward to sharing more about the experiences, lessons, and opportunities that have been shaping this chapter of SM Success and my own leadership journey.
In the meantime, I invite you to take a moment to reflect on your own growth:
What have you accomplished that deserves more recognition?
What opportunities have stretched you into a new version of yourself?
What are you ready to build, lead, or experience next?
Sometimes, we’re so focused on what’s ahead that we forget to acknowledge how far we’ve come.
This month, I’m making room for both reflection and possibility.
Here’s to leading in alignment, living on purpose, and continuing to build what matters.
Help the vision travel further. Share this post with your network and introduce someone new to SM Success, where leadership, organizational impact, and purposeful living come together.
